Long Hiar Down Hairstyles For Wedding

Let your hair down! It really can’t ever go out of style, especially if you have long beautiful tresses. Remember, this is probably one of the only days in your life when you will be the main attraction in hundreds of photos, so choose your wedding hairstyle based on what is most flattering on you. If you don’t feel confident with your hair pulled back, then by all means, let your hair flow.

Down Wedding hairstyles that are wavy with a natural touch (as opposed to perfectly lain curls with gobs of hairspray) are definitely the new trend, almost with a messy bohemian feel. You might also want to consider pulling just a small section back, perhaps just a few curls off to one side, or instead of wearing it half up, wear it a quarter up, so that most of your hair is down but with a little added personality.

Your hair accessories can change your look entirely. You can either decide to not have any accessories at all, or choose to have a little further interest with a large flower pinned to one side, a lace and rhinestone headband just peeking through, or even a sparkly feather brooch for dazzle.

Marriage is one of the most special and delightful occasions in every woman’s life. As this day comes only once in our lives, we wish to look our very best on this day.

To look gorgeous and resplendent on her big day, the bride has to pay minute attention to every aspect, from her attire to jewelry, makeup to hairstyle.

Flowers in your hair

It's a timeless, ultra-feminine form of accessorizing that works beautifully for outdoor formal events... and no, it's not relegated to the springtime only!

As these pictures show, you can create a variety of looks depending on how you decide to arrange the flowers. If you're after a hippie chick vibe, then teaming a floral garland with long loose locks or a messy, bohemian-style braid is the way to go. Or if you'd rather look elegant and polished, then a smooth, low chignon with your bloom of choice pinned to the side will work wonders.

My only rule when it comes to wearing flowers in my hair is that they have to be real. Silk flowers just don't have the same effect, and as for plastic ones, don't even go there! You'll find that your florist will be more than happy to arrange your choice of flowers onto very fine wires that can then be easily inserted into your hairstyle, with the wires hidden from view and the flowers displayed exactly how you want them.

As for deciding which types of flowers to use? There are almost too many choices available, as these days it doesn't matter whether a particular flower is in season or not (though you may have to wait a few days for your florist to order in the out-of-season blooms, and yes, they will be more expensive).

Finding inspiration in the form of online galleries such as this one is a great place to start, and remember to keep an open mind; what works well in a vase won't always work well in your hair. So while tiger lilies might be your favorite flower of all time, you might want to consider something a little more delicate when it comes to accessorizing your hairstyle.

For my wedding a couple of years ago, I wore white Singapore orchids in my hair, in lieu of a veil. The effect was gorgeous (if I do say so myself!) but it was an unexpected choice, as I'd originally dismissed the orchids as being too plain. Turns out, plain and simple flowers were what I needed to accentuate my hairstyle rather than overwhelm it - it just took an open mind (and a bit of experimenting) for me to realize it.

Fabulous Tips For Choosing the Perfect Bridesmaid Hairdo

If you have been asked to be a bridesmaid in your friend’s wedding, you are probably very excited and have been thinking about how you will wear your hair for months. There are a variety of ways to decide on a hairstyle, but here are some tips that will make choosing the perfect bridesmaids hairdo even easier.

Perfect Bridesmaid Hairdo

1. Seek out the bride. Most brides have an opinion or idea of how they want their girls to wear their hair, but most brides are respectful of the fact that in the end it is their maid’s hair and she knows what looks best on her.

A popular suggestion with most brides is just telling their bridesmaids to wear it either all up, half-up/half-down, or all down. Usually the bride will make this decision based on how she is wearing her hair. So, be sure to get the bride’s opinion before you get your heart set on something. After all, it is her day.

2. Get yourself some hair catalogues and surf the web. The best way to know what is hip and in style, is to purchase a hair catalog or two and search the Internet for suggestions. The Internet is one of the best ways to find what you are looking for because it gives to the opportunity to search for hairdos based on your hair type. For instance, you can type “updos for curly hair” or “formal hairstyles for short hair” into the search engine and it will bring up images and even some how-to tips on how to pull it off.

3. Even though you aren’t the bride, you should schedule yourself for a practice hair session. While there shouldn’t be a lot of pomp and circumstance about it, just get the name of the salon where the bride wants you to get your hair done, if there is one, and call and schedule an appointment to have a hair run through.

Since you aren’t the bride, you’ll probably have to pay for it, but it will be worth it to see if the hairstyle you have selected looks good on you.

4. Invest in some pizzazz. If you are doing an updo, you should check with the bride and okay some hair accessories.

Whether you choose little diamond studded bobbie pins or a gorgeous fake flower, nothing pulls together a great updo like some beautiful hair accessories. You can pick some up at your local drugstore, or order them offline to make them match your dress.

You should also check with the bride to make sure she hasn't purchased any. She may have matching hair accessories she wants you and the other bridesmaids to wear. Another great tip when it comes to hair accessories is that less is more! Be sure that whatever hair accessories you choose don’t take away from the actual hairstyle.

5. No matter what hairstyle you decide on, you should be sure that you don’t outshine the bride. A good way to know whether or not your hairstyle outshines the bride is to ask if you can go with her to her hair run through before you schedule your own.

This will give you an idea of what she has planned for herself, and will help you better evaluate your own hairstyle when you go to your own practice session.

Jazzing Up Bridal Updos: Wedding Hairstyles

Romantic Wedding Hairstyle 2013

Nothing could be more important for every bride than to look her best on her wedding day. This is why brides would spend a considerable amount of time in choosing their wedding dress, veils, accessories and hairstyle they would be wearing on this momentous day to make it the wedding of their dreams.

While many modern brides are now wearing their beautiful tresses down, bridal updos continue to be very popular since it guarantees the bride that they would remain looking neat, radiant and camera-ready.

Because many brides want their personalities to shine forth on their wedding day, there are now a number of fashionable ways to jazz up bridal updos. The simplest way is to add subtle hair accessories to their hair.

Not only would these hair accessories add a touch of glitter and accent to the overall hairstyle. Fashionable hair accessories which you can avail from the same bridal store where you purchase your wedding gown and veil help ensure that your bridal updos are secured throughout the entire ceremony and reception, especially if you are planning to hold your wedding outdoors.

Another way to jazz up your bridal updos is through the incorporation of rich highlights and low lights. This is a popular trend among brides, particularly those with thin hair.

By adding highlights and low lights to your hair through the help of your hairstylist, you are able to add definition and thickness to your thin hair, providing the illusion of thickness. If you already have highlights on your hair, make sure that you have this touched up a few days before your wedding.

Instead of opting to go for the classical bridal updos such as the French twist or ballerina bun, try some of the funkier updos that are now in fashion, particularly among young brides. Adding braids, fringes and faking a spiky look are just some of the great updos would add texture and definition to your hairstyle while still making you look elegant and blooming on your wedding day.

Adding curls or waves is yet another fashionable way to wear your hair up on your wedding day. These hairstyles provide added volume and shine to your hair while giving you that romantic look on this extremely special day.

Wedding Hair Combs: Preparing For Your Big Day

Your wedding day is one of the most memorable days that you can dream of. Brides-to-be always want to show off their splendor from head to toe.

The most important part of a bride's attire is the dress she chooses to wear as she is walked down the aisle. There are other things to consider to complete the ensemble such as attributing the perfect hairstyle to assume total happiness on the special day.

Wedding Hairstyle Comb

With bridal combs, also known as wedding combs, brides are allowed a variety of ways in which to use them with any style of hair. No matter what tastes you may have, the manner in which you present yourself, or the budget there are an impressive amount of appealing combs available.

Perhaps you are looking to create something by hand for total uniqueness or a comb adorned with a rainbow of colors in rhinestones or befit with gemstones such as diamonds, emeralds, rubies or sapphires. Hair combs are a fabulous addition as you accessorize your hair keeping it neatly in place when it matters most.

There are a few things to consider about the wedding:

  • Is it formal or informal?
  • The type of wedding dress?
  • How long or short is your hair?
  • How thick is your hair?

There could be any number of reasons that you make the decision to wear hair combs. They sure offer you a multitude of ways in which to enrich your appearance.

Bridal combs can be worn atop the head as you would a tiara

There is the option of wearing only one or you could choose to wear a row of matching combs. When you wish not to be too flashy in appearance, bridal combs are a good substitute for the more opulent tiara, especially if you wish not to look like a princess but rather show off your own delicate look.

You also have the option of wearing to one side such as you would when using hairpins. Also, you may prefer to wear them on the back of your head or to augment a French twist or other up swept hairdo that many brides present.

Hair combs are versatile enough. Create something functional or decorative as you hold your hair firmly in place, the choice is yours.

When you are ready to choose the hair combs that you will be wearing on your wedding day, first take a look at the size of the comb. You don't want to wear something disproportionate.

The larger bejeweled combs look fantastic on the side or back of the head with your hair swept to one side. If you are having a less fanciful wedding, then perhaps you would enjoy a larger and simpler comb to keep your hair in place while on the beach on your wedding day.

For instance, larger combs that are bedecked in gems will be breathtaking when accompanying a hairstyle of to one side or worn around the back of the head.

For informal weddings such as a beach wedding perhaps an understated comb to keep your hair neat and tidy. Small to medium size hair combs are a terrific addition for long and flowing hairstyles.

One of the more graceful themes available in comb designs are based on combs worn during the Victorian era. You can also find smooth and chic, flower designs, delicate scroll work, butterflies and beads in options in the marketplace.

It's possible you may begin to feel a bit overwhelmed with everything you need to do to achieve that gorgeous look of yours, but don't miss out on all the fun!

No matter what size, shape, type or style of hair comb you choose to wear on your wedding day you will be able to find something to aptly demonstrate your own personality.

Just take time to coordinate it with your full bridal ensemble; the colors of your wedding and its formality and you really can't miss at picking out something great!

Indian Bridal Hairstyles

If you are planning for your wedding day, then you can tap into specific fashions that have been known to carry a sense of elegance and beauty. One of the most popular looks that are traditionally known throughout the world is Indian bridal hairstyles. These specific looks are defined through the expected dress that is combined with the hair, as well as more contemporary options that are providing those with the right fashion sense.

Traditionally, Indian bridal hairstyles began with a veil that covered the head. While there were elaborate ways that the hair was shaped, this would often not be seen by others. However, more contemporary looks have either partial veils or transparent cloth that is used for the definition of the brides’ hair. Because of this tradition, most of the bridal looks are in an up do that leads down the aisle and to the wedding day.

The most common type of Indian bridal hair styles consists of a combination of buns and braided hair. A traditional bun rests in the center of the head and is wrapped in several knots before tied. This is often combined with a small braid or set of braids to add in a sense of elegance. This is also decorated with different jewels and flowers to bring out the twists in the hair.

There is some contemporary looks that also include partial buns or braids with some of the hair being set in a ponytail or completely down.

For those that are looking for a statement of beauty and elegance is the ability to find the best through Indian bridal hairstyles. The contemporary and traditional looks that are combined with this are defined by the cultural expectations as well as the more modern approaches to weddings. For women, this has led to a sense of beauty in preparation for a wedding day.

Finding an Adorable Wedding Hairstyle

Every woman dreams of looking like a goddess or beauty queen on her wedding day. The good news is that you can indeed achieve the look that you want with the right wedding gown, accessories, make-up and hair style.

And when it comes to your hair, there are many different styles you can choose from. If you don't know what style to get, keep in mind a very wise and effective tip: simple is best. Don't try to overdo your hair. Keeping the style simple can often bring out the best results.

Adorable Wedding Hairstyle Trends

It probably goes without saying that different styles are appropriate for different lengths of hair. Short-haired women tend to have fewer options while long-haired ones typically have many. The classic wedding hairstyle is to pull your hair back in a clean bun or chignon, but there are a lot of variations of this style that you can choose from.

The best way to discover all of your options is simply to do some research online. Search Google for terms like “wedding hairstyle” and check out the top-10 results. The old adage that one picture is worth 1,000 words is definitely true, so look specifically for sites with pictures or even how-to videos. Print out the hairstyle photos you like best for reference.

Because there are so many variations from which you can choose, it is usually a good idea to try out several variations of your favorite hairstyles a few days before your wedding so you can decide which one you like the best. The only way to really be confident you select the best hairstyle is by looking at yourself in the mirror while wearing each style.

If your wedding is still far off and you want to wear a chignon or bun but have short hair, start preparing your hair and getting treatments that will make your hair grow longer and faster. If you don't have enough time, you can use hair extensions to achieve this look. If you have short hair and don't want to use extensions, you can just wear your hair down and adorn it with jewels or flowers.

One final piece of advice: when choosing your ideal hair style, don't forget to consider the venue of the ceremony. For example, if you are going to have a beach wedding, remember that you may have to battle it out with strong winds so it's better to have a secured updo and avoid letting your hair down.

Otherwise, in this situation, you run the risk of untamed and frizzy hair. Similarly, if you are getting married in hot and humid weather, then it may be best to sport a hairstyle that is up off your shoulders to allow some airflow at the base of your head to help keep you cool.

In conclusion, your wedding is one of those precious moments in your life that you will remember forever, and it is also a day that will be memorialized in photos for future generations to see. Therefore it pays to make sure you look as stunningly beautiful as you possibly can; make it special by choosing the right bridal hairstyle.

Wedding Hair Advice

Every bride wants to look perfect right down to the last detail. One of the most important things to consider is the wedding hair. Getting fabulous hair on your wedding day starts long before the morning of the event, however. Learn how to get the perfect look with this helpful wedding hair advice.

There is an old custom that says when a woman becomes engaged she should begin growing out her hair. You know what? This is actually still great advice. The idea is that longer hair will allow you the most versatility for wedding hairstyles.

Wedding Hair Ideas 2013

Some of the popular braided buns and chic chignons require a fair amount of hair to work, so having long hair can prove to be an asset. Simply haircuts without a lot of layering are the easiest to put up. Work with a trusted hairdresser; if you decide to go with a different type of hairdo for your wedding, you can always trim off a couple of inches.

Upon becoming engaged, an initial consultation with a great hairstylist is a really smart idea. If you do not already have someone you trust with your hair, this is the time to find a new hairdresser. In the beginning, you should discuss your long range plans for your wedding hair.

Early in the game is the best time to experiment with a new hair color or to try out highlights for the first time. If your hair is usually permed or relaxed, discuss with your stylist deep conditioning options to keep it in tip-top shape as the wedding draws closer. No one wants to have frizzy or fried hair in their wedding pictures, after all!

Six or more months before your wedding would also be the optimal time frame to explore any more drastic hair changes, such as thermal conditioning to ensure perfectly smooth and straight hair, or a custom weave to add length and fullness to short or damaged hair.

These are major changes that you will definitely not want to be messing around with at the last minute, so be sure to plan ahead! A less dramatic hair treatment to consider is one to add glossiness to your locks. If any of these special hair treatments turn out to be to your liking, make sure to schedule follow up appointments for closer to the wedding date.

As soon as you have selected your wedding gown, it is time to begin shopping for your bridal hair jewelry. The type of headpiece which you choose will have a major impact on the hairstyles which will work the best. If you have selected a set of hairpins, for instance, an updo will be a necessity to anchor them properly.

You will want to bring your bridal hair jewelry to your wedding hair trials so that your stylist can plan around it. A few final words of wedding hair advice...never make any drastic changes in the final months before your wedding.

This is not the time to see how that cute little pixie crop suits you if you have always worn your hair long, nor is your wedding the best time to experiment with bold artificial hair colors.

The best wedding hair looks natural, healthy, and timeless. If you find yourself itching to try out a fashion forward haircut, schedule an appointment to meet with your stylist right after you return from your honeymoon, and have fun trying something wild - but for your wedding, keep your hair polished and classic, so that it is merely a part of your overall look, not the main focal point.

Wedding Hair Styles - The Perfect Tips for the Perfect Wedding Day

A wedding is one of the most important events of a woman’s life, which is why a bride wants every detail to be perfect from the ceremony to her gown. This attention to detail should also include the hair style she will wear.

Perfect Tips for the Perfect Wedding Day

She should start thinking about it as early as possible to allow her hair to grow out: hair grows at a rate of approximately a half-inch a month or six inches a year. Having longer hair will allow for more leeway in selecting wedding hair styles.

There are many ways you can style your hair on your wedding day, but three of the most prominent and traditional styles are the updo, long hair styles and medium-length hair styles. Each of these can be worn with accessories such as tiaras, flowers or rhinestones.

An up do style involves putting the hair up using pins; it can be worn with both long and medium-length hair. One advantage of this style is that you can wear it up during the wedding itself, and then take out the pins to create a second look for the reception.

Long wedding hair styles involve the hair worn down at least to the shoulders. It is one of the most versatile styles because there are a variety of ways it can be worn from wavy locks to long and flowing with curls and even a ponytail.

Medium-length styles involve hair that is worn to just above the shoulders and below the nape of the neck. It can be worn with the hair flowing down with the ends lightly curled.

For a more modern alternative, however, the bride can go for a short hair style which will give her a sassier look. Accessories such as a coronet can be added to give the do a touch of elegance.

One consideration for choosing your wedding hairdo is if it compliments your wedding outfit, from the gown to the shoes. For example, a simple wedding dress demands an equally uncomplicated style.

The do should also match the ambiance of the wedding itself; if you’re having a formal, traditional ceremony, you should select a style that reflects this.

Some tips for achieving the perfect wedding hair styles:

1. It is always good to have pictures of the style that you want on hand to give to your stylist. Sources for these hairdo pictures could be bridal magazines or downloading them from bridal websites.

2. Begin practicing good hair care several months before the wedding to ensure that your hair is healthy when it is ready to be styled.

3. Don’t neglect your overall appearance. Make sure that your make-up is natural looking and you get a facial to remove the signs of tension from the wedding preparations.

4. Plan ahead. Make sure to meet with your hairstylist several weeks in advance to start discussing the style, as well as other considerations such as the right color if you’re thinking of dying your hair for the wedding.

And allot enough time on the day itself to have your make-up and hair styling done without rushing.
